The Chimney Chap, located in Hanson, is a reputable and growing company who specializes in Home Heating Solutions, Masonry, Outdoor Living Products. Established in 1980, our primary focus is working with fireplaces, chimneys, venting, and clothes dryer venting, in compliance with Local, State, and National Building Codes performed by CSIA and NFI Certified Industry Professionals. Whether you heat your home with your fireplace, fueled by gas or oil, gas, wood or pellet appliances, the chimney and venting systems must be maintained for an efficient and safe combustion system.

Our brand new showroom features over 55 gas, pellet, and wood appliances as well as an outdoor living space. This is a position in retail sales and supports the growth of new and existing customer/contract base. The ideal candidate has great attention to detail, is customer focused, and can develop firm mental grasp of reading and understanding manuals pertaining to the products we carry.   • Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and a genuine smile.
  • Provides product knowledge and estimates for fireplaces, stoves, and outdoor living products based on customer’s needs, likes, Local & State Building Codes & Regulations, as well as
  • Manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Ensure you deliver exceptional Customer Service that is consistent and beyond expectations.
  • Take initiative to remain familiar with the merchandise carried in the store, including key features and benefits, as well as, ability to make accurate suggestions to customers
  • Maintains constant communication with client. Communication is expected before, during and after project has been completed.
  • Ensures all estimates provided are code compliant and follow manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Attends product knowledge classes/training
  • Assists with visual presentation of merchandise
  • Ensures that you are aware of current advertised items and specials
  • Note: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs dictate.


  • 2 years prior sales experience
  • Strong selling and customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge in excel, word, outlook, and general computer skills
  • Must be detailed oriented and have a strong ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to stoop and bend
  • Must be able to take precise measurements and have proficient math skills
  • Days and Hours: 5 days. Fall/Winter: 4 Weekdays 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-5pm. Spring/Summer: Every other Saturday. 5 days per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
